Sustainability Champion Shaikha Alshafar Inspires GNS Students

Shaikha Alshafar, a bright and passionate advocate for sustainability, is diligently pursuing a degree in sustainability at Zayed University. She shared her experiences and insights with an eager group of GNS students and inspired them to building a sustainable community. She encouraged them to start small, engage with local initiatives, and take an active role in preserving the environment. 

“By making sustainable choices in our daily lives, we could contribute to a brighter, greener future for all.”

Shaikha emphasised the paramount importance of sustainability for the future of our environment and the job market. She articulated how climate change, resource depletion, and environmental degradation were pressing issues that demanded immediate attention. The need for sustainability wasn't just an environmental concern but had far-reaching economic and social implications. Future jobs, she stressed, would increasingly require a sustainability focus, whether in renewable energy, green technologies, or environmental policy development.
